Prospect Stock Watch; Top 5 to Watch for Week 2

5. Blake Freeland | BYU, OT

#9 Baylor at #21 BYU | 10:15pm ESPN

BYU faces off with the reigning Big 12 Champ Baylor Bears on Saturday. The Bears have a sturdy defensive line and stout front seven, which is led by DT Siaki Ika and LB Dillon Doyle. Blake Freeland is gaining 1st round hype and is an all around solid blindside tackle with an ideal NFL frame (6’8” 305 lbs). Freeland moves around the field well and will be tested against the tough Baylor defense, in what could be BYU’s biggest game of the season.

4. Will Levis | Kentucky, QB

#20 Kentucky at #12 Florida | 7pm ESPN

The Kentucky gunslinger looked awesome last week, as he was completing passes all over the field and gave me strong Zach Wilson vibes due to his extorted, off platform throws with zip. He will now face a legit opponent that kept Utah’s Cam Rising in check last week. This game will truly determine who Georgia’s biggest threat is in the SEC East.

3. Anthony Richardson | Florida, QB

#20 Kentucky at #12 Florida | 7pm ESPN

Just as Levis is getting his first SEC test, Richardson is as well. AR had all the hype over the summer but very much legitimized it in a breakout performance last week. Richardson truly played like Cam Newton and displayed incredible athleticism but also showed off elite zip and solid ball placement.  This week we will find out if that was a fluke or if he is a real 1st round candidate.

2. Jordan Addison | USC, WR

#10 USC @ Stanford | 7:30pm ABC

Last year’s Biletnikoff winner didn’t skip a beat in his first game as a Trojan, as he hauled in 5 receptions for 54 yards and 2 TDs in just 26 snaps. He is looking like a legit 1st Round prospect and will face a tougher opponent in their conference opener against Stanford. While Stanford has just won 10 games in the last 3 seasons, their best player on the field is undeniably preseason 1st Team All-Pac12 cornerback, Kyu Blu Kelly, who will likely be checking Jordan Addison all game long. This will be a great matchup between two future NFL players.

1. Bijan Robinson Jr | Texas, RB

#1 Alabama at Texas | 12pm Fox

Robinson is the unanimous RB1 among draft media and will face his biggest test of the season against the top team in the nation. Will Anderson made his presence known in the Utah State backfield last week and will be a major headache for Robinson. If Robinson can piece together a solid day, then his stock may soar into becoming a legitimate 1st round RB.
